JOB SNAPSHOT: This position is a key player of the Member Development Department, responsible for overseeing member onboarding and involvement for Signature and Premier level members to ensure they have a positive experience, get involved where it best meets their needs, and continue to renew. This role will also provide planning, logistics, and execution support for events within the Member Development department, such as orientation events, receptions, golf tournament, and clay shoot. This position requires stellar personalized member-facing service, attention to detail, excellent communication, and strong organizational skills.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

ENGAGEMENT

Oversee member relations program for Signature and Premier level members to ensure a positive experience

and continued renewal. Focus especially on first year members, and work with Senior Director of Member Strategy to modify the plan as needed. This includes:

  • Targeted outreach for new members through emails, calls, and handwritten notes, with regular follow-up to . ensure they are maximizing their membership in their areas of interest
  • Call new main contacts of companies to help get them engaged – meet with or visit them as needed
  • Conduct involvement meetings/calls with members to maximize their membership
  • Call members with missing information (such as main contact) to maintain the accuracy of the database.
  • Coordinate with Membership Manager for updating information.

 

Utilize and interpret data to prioritize outreach and help members maximize their engagement

Assist with the development and implementation of engagement plan for Premier level members to elevate their experience and ensure they take advantage of their benefits

Assist Senior Director of Member Strategy with ribbon cuttings

Assist team with member surveys to obtain feedback for enhancing out members’ experience

Provide next-level service, answering daily member calls, emails, and questions

 

COST SAVINGS PROGRAMS

  • Coordinate all cost savings programs and serve as the main contact for our members and partners.
  • Work with marketing on full promotions of all cost savings programs.
  • Coordinate billing and revenue for all cost savings programs.
  • Research and coordinate any new cost savings programs as directed to continue increasing member benefits and revenue.

 

EVENT MANAGEMENT & SUPPORT

  • Plan, manage, and implement monthly ENGAGE Orientation for new members to help them understand all their benefits and get engaged in the areas that best meet their company’s needs. Focus on trying to get members to attend or send someone to this within their first six months. Coordinate with staff, sponsors, marketing, and all involved.
  • Assist with logistics and execution of Chairman’s Circle orientations, receptions, and events
  • Assist with logistics and execution of the Cobb Chamber Golf Tournament Classic and inaugural Clay Shoot
  • Assist with logistics and execution of other events within the Member Development team as needed

 

TEAM ACTIVITIES

  • Help with registration at Chamber events on a rotation basis
  • Help with team events such as Annual Dinner and Campaign
  • Serve as back-up support for phones periodically
  • Participate in Membership Campaign
  • Share institutional knowledge about member companies to assist staff with activities
  • Assist Senior Director of Member Strategy and team with other duties as related to membership and retention including mailings, billing, and membership account changes.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

  • Ability to organize and prioritize, taking a proactive approach
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent business correspondence skills- both written and spoken
  • Strong computer and resourceful internet skills/Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to effectively interact with all types of people
  • Self-motivated, strong persuasion skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Team player
  • Strong sense of community awareness, knowledge of Cobb Chamber is a plus
  • Previous experience in database and CRM management preferred.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred
  • 2+ years related experience and/or training; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for the job. Position level will be based on experience
