Who We Are

BrightPoint for Children partners with Christian ministries around the world to ensure thousands of children receive an education, healthcare, and a path out of poverty. As a 501(c)(3) faith-based nonprofit, we come alongside ministry partners by managing and supporting their child sponsorship programs with excellence, compassion and integrity.

Position Overview

The Sponsorship Program Coordinator (part-time) will oversee a defined set of recurring workflows and administrative processes that help ensure our sponsorship programs operate smoothly and accurately. While much of the work is detail-oriented and process-driven, the impact is deeply relational — supporting ministries, encouraging sponsors, and ultimately helping children receive consistent care and support.

We are seeking someone who aligns with BrightPoint's mission and core values, takes pride in data accuracy, learns systems quickly, and finds genuine fulfillment in structured, recurring work that supports children around the world.

Please note: While hours may increase or decrease based on program cycles and workload, we are looking for someone who can commit to a consistent, dependable in-office schedule.

Key Responsibilities include:

Database Management

  • Maintain and update child, sponsor, and program records in BrightPoint's database
  • Receive and process partner submissions, reviewing for format, accuracy and completeness before entry
  • Identify and flag discrepancies or errors before they affect downstream reporting
  • Follow documented step-by-step processes for recurring tasks, noting inconsistencies and areas for improvement

Workflow & Deliverable Oversight

  • Take ownership of one or more defined program workflows – running that process accurately and on schedule across all partners
  • Coordinate the sending, receiving, and processing cycle for partner deliverables – tracking status from initiation through completion
  • Manage deadlines across 20+ partner programs operating on different schedules
  • Adapt to workload rhythms that shift by season; some periods are steady, others are high-volume and deadline-driven

Team Support

  • Contribute to identifying and refining processes as our programs continue to grow
  • Collaborate with a small, close-knit team where your contributions are visible and valued
  • Bring questions and a fresh perspective — we encourage people to ask why, not just how

Qualifications

  • Genuine alignment with BrightPoint's mission and values
  • Ability to commit to a consistent, reliable in-office schedule in Marietta, GA
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy is central to this role
  • Warm, professional written and verbal communication
  • Ability to follow detailed, documented processes independently and consistently
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
  • Valid driver's license and legal authorization to work in the United States

Work Environment

  • Part-time, in-office role located in Marietta, GA (East Cobb). Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available at this time.
  • Small and close-knit team; you'll know everyone and contribute visibly
  • Collaborative, open-plan shared workspace
  • Periodic lifting of boxes, duffle bags, and suitcases up to 50 pounds may be required
  • Office is located on the second floor with no elevator access
