About this role

This role involves providing project management, research, and other critical assistance to a highly collaborative team. The Philanthropy Associate works to support the creation of customized donor reports to ensure that donor engagement efforts are executed efficiently. The position also collaborates with a team of gift officers and volunteers to provide support with donor giving histories, as well as a wide variety of reporting, database management, and logistics.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist gift officers with Salesforce-based requests, including donor giving histories, engagement records, and updates to donor profiles
  • Create complex, customized donor reports based on data from Salesforce 
  • Assist with event planning for gift officer-related events, coordinating with team members and volunteers as needed
  • Provide administrative support for the team, including scheduling meetings and hosting Zoom sessions
  • Support cross-functional projects within the Philanthropy Division and assist with various strategic initiatives as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Required Knowledge, Education, Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; nonprofit development experience is preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or major gift support roles
  • Experience with Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Zoom
  • Experience interacting with high level donors and leadership
  • Experience creating strategic collateral for donor stewardship
  • Experience in creating high-level, comprehensive reports
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and proofreading skills
  • Knowledge of best business and development industry practices 

 

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to work effectively with volunteers, staff, and senior leadership to drive results and foster positive donor relations
  • High level of discretion and experience handling confidential information
  • Positive attitude and the ability to meet tight deadlines
