Title: Program Manager, Mobility Mentoring
Reports to: Director of Programs
Status: Full Time, Time-Limited Employee- Ends 12/31/2026
Nicholas House seeks a strategic and execution-oriented Program Manager to lead the implementation of the Mobility Mentoring framework across our housing and supportive services programs. This is a time-limited, high-impact contract role focused on translating strategy into practice—building systems, training staff, and ensuring consistent, high-quality adoption of Mobility Mentoring.
The Program Manager will play a critical role in shifting how we partner with families—from compliance-driven case management to a structured, coaching-based model that supports long-term economic mobility.

Nicholas House’s mission is to help families who are experiencing homelessness and support them through their crisis. Nicholas House helps families who are struggling to pay rent move into affordable homes, get themselves to work and their children off to school, and ultimately lift themselves up and out of poverty and toward a better life.
What You’ll Do
Project Implementation & Management
- Lead the organization-wide rollout of the Mobility Mentoring model, including execution and updating of a detailed implementation plan
- Establish clear timelines, milestones, and accountability structures to ensure on-time delivery
- Coordinate across program teams to align workflows, expectations, and service delivery practices
- Identify and address barriers to implementation in real time
Program Design & Operationalization
- Translate Mobility Mentoring concepts into standardized tools, policies, and procedures
- Integrate the model into existing program structures, including shelter, rapid rehousing, and permanent supportive housing
- Develop and document workflows that support consistent implementation across teams
- Align program requirements (e.g., rent structures, goal-setting processes) with Mobility Mentoring principles
Training & Capacity Building
- Deliver training for staff on Mobility Mentoring and related practices (e.g., coaching techniques, goal-setting, motivational interviewing) using resources from Empath.
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to program staff to reinforce learning and ensure fidelity, including attending weekly participant meetings to provide feedback on Mobility Mentoring, goal setting and using the Bridge to Economic Mobility.
- Develop training materials, guides, and reference tools for sustained use
- Integrate Mobility Mentoring tasks and deliverables, along with other compliance related tasks, into a project management system.
- Train staff on how to use the project management system and execute the operationalizing of the tool.
Data, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with leadership to define success metrics and key performance indicators
- Support the integration of Mobility Mentoring into data systems and reporting processes
- Monitor implementation progress and outcomes, using data to inform adjustments
- Develop feedback loops with staff and participants to continuously improve the model
Change Management & Communication
- Support organizational change efforts by building staff buy-in and engagement
- Communicate clearly and consistently about expectations, progress, and outcomes
- Facilitate cross-team learning and problem-solving
Deliverables
Comprehensive Mobility Mentoring implementation plan
Standardized tools, workflows, and documentation
Completed staff training series and training materials
Integration of Mobility Mentoring into program operations and data systems
Final report summarizing implementation outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations for sustainability
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field, required
- Currently licensed by the State of Georgia as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, preferred
- 2+ years of experience working in a Social Services or nonprofit setting, required
- Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries with clients
- Ability to identify problems, and research and recommend resolutions
- Excellent communication skills, particularly listening, mediation, and writing skills
- Possess strong organizational skills with ability to meet a demanding workload
- Ability to anticipate and react calmly to emergency situations
- Knowledge of Asana or another project management system, preferred.
- Sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of population served
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple deadlines and working effectively under pressure, using independent judgment to produce quality work under time constraints
- Demonstrated experience working with a collaborative team
- Working Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Ability to communicate effectively among a diverse workforce population and maintain sound working relations with all levels within the organization
- Work with spirit of enthusiasm, teamwork, cooperation and a sense of urgency
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality over all matters in the course of business operations including client and employee information
