Summary of Role

Solution Community is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to lead the design, development, and scaling of our digital platforms that support global collaboration and social impact initiatives. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who is passionate about leveraging technology to solve real-world problems and contribute to a mission-driven organization.

You will work cross-functionally with product, design, and leadership teams to build scalable, user-centric solutions that enable global volunteer engagement and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications (front-end and back-end)
• Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance systems
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to define and implement features
• Lead technical decision-making, including frameworks, architecture, and tools
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers and volunteers
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and responsiveness
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack
• Contribute to DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure
• Ensure adherence to best practices in security, data protection, and system reliability

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in full stack development
• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js)
• Strong proficiency in back-end development (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, or similar)
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Solid understanding of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in startups, nonprofits, or mission-driven organizations
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with serverless architecture
• Knowledge of authentication/authorization frameworks (OAuth, JWT)
• Exposure to AI/ML integrations or data-driven platforms
• Prior experience mentoring or leading engineering teams
