Global Dental Relief is an international charity that provides dental care to 25,000 children each year. Care is performed by volunteers who work in week long field dental clinics in India, Nepal, Cambodia, Kenya, Guatemala, and Mexico.
Over the course of the last 25 years, GDR volunteers have provided 63 million dollars of donated dental care which has improved the health of over 285,000 children around the world.
We are seeking a full-time Project Coordinator. This position is responsible for all day to day tasks associated with managing 200 volunteers working across four continents on multiple concomitant trips. Project Coordination requires extraordinary attention to detail, critical thinking, project management, and the ability to talk to countless prospective volunteers with enthusiasm and grace.

Major Responsibilities
Project Coordinating – 75%
- Serve as the face of the organization, recruiting volunteers with excitement and detailed information by covering the phones and email inquiries three days/week.
- Serve as the “digital” face of the organization 2-3 days per week through our online application system and volunteer portal.
- Update and maintain our project sign-up document in collaboration with the project coordinating team.
- Manage the volunteer logistics of up to twelve clinics – 200 volunteers - a year including all details for travel, volunteer itineraries and daily logistics.
- Regular communication with volunteers to address questions and prepare them for the volunteer experience
- Manage volunteer sign-ups, including: application packets, acceptance packets, invoices and volunteer payments, supply information, pre-departure packets and reminder emails.
- Write parts of and assemble all parts of the Project Leader Handbooks
- Manage the closeout for twelve clinics, including: evaluations, tax and in kind thank you letters, volunteer revenue reports, and post-project volunteer engagement communications.
Outreach / Stewardship - 25%
- Work with team to put on annual fundraising party with 200+ attendees
- Assist with fundraising mailings including the progress report, and annual party invitations
- Solicit, write and edit multiple articles a year for publication in print media.
- Assist in stewardship of volunteers and donors in coordination with the Director and COO
- Compile and manage volunteers demographic and revenue statistics
- Interact with alumni volunteers to foster continued engagement with and advocacy for GDR
- Be involved in outreach and fundraising meetings
Required Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in related field
- Minimum of three years of job-related experience
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and other relevant business software
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
- Comfortable working on a small team in a frequently evolving environment
- Solid task prioritization, organization, and attention to detail
- Readiness to problem solve creatively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; additional language skills a plus
- Knowledge of and experience with Salesforce and other CRM Management tools
- Experience creating polished documents in Canva and Emma that capture the style and mission of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior international experience and/or demonstrated grasp of the challenges surrounding project delivery in developing countries
- Experience fundraising for a nonprofit

Special Conditions and Work Environment
- Some domestic and international travel will be required based on position responsibilities.
- Work takes place in person in an office environment
- Light lifting of dental supply bags may be required
- May be called to work outside normal business hours when volunteer groups are in the field
Compensation and Benefits
Global Dental Relief offers a comprehensive benefits package including a health insurance stipend, paid vacation and sick leave and 10 paid holidays a year. The salary for this position is $45,000 - $50,000 based on experience. This position is based on a Monday – Thursday (4 day) 35hr in-person work week. This position is in person at our Denver office location.
