Duties/Responsibilities:

Community and Leadership Engagement

  • Establish and expand Creative 360’s visibility and influence across the Great Lakes Bay Region through strategic partnerships, public speaking, and community engagement.
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, donors, artists, educators, and regional partners.
  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive communications strategy, including media relations, digital presence, and public engagement.
  • Strengthen and maintain strategic partnerships, including ongoing collaboration with Public Arts Midland and other regional organizations.
  • Represent Creative 360 in local, state, and national arts networks to elevate its profile and impact.
  • Serve as a collaborative partner in community-wide initiatives, programs, and events.

Financial Leadership and Development

  • Provide strategic financial leadership to ensure long-term sustainability and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Partner with the Treasurer and Board of Directors to develop, monitor, and report on financial performance.
  • Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.
  • Lead and expand fundraising efforts, including major gifts, grants, sponsorships, and earned revenue opportunities.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive development strategy to grow and diversify revenue streams.
  • Support board development in partnership with the Governance Committee to ensure strong leadership and community representation.
  • Oversee the growth and coordination of a robust volunteer program supporting organizational initiatives.

Strategic Planning and Organizational Growth

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives to increase program participation, audience engagement, and community impact.
  • Use data, cultural trends, and community insights to inform innovative programming and partnerships.
  • Champion inclusive and accessible programming that reflects diverse perspectives and fosters meaningful community connections.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategies for facility maintenance, utilization, and future expansion aligned with programmatic needs.

Leadership and Operations:

  • Provide leadership and oversight of all staff, fostering a collaborative, creative, and high-performing organizational culture.
  • Lead recruitment, hiring, and professional development of staff and instructors.
  • Oversee daily operations across all functional areas, including programming, marketing, finance, and administration.
  • Ensure effective performance management, including evaluations, coaching, and accountability.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit, arts, or community-focused organization
  • Strong financial management and fundraising experience
  • Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and engage diverse stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and drive results
  • Passion for the arts and a creative, flexible mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication arts/liberal arts, arts management, or marketing preferred. Master’s degree in non-profit/public administration a plus
  • Experience in non-profit management and working with Board of Directors
  • Proven track record for fund development success, including the launch and management of a successful endowment or capital campaign
  • Proven ability and skill set to raise major amounts of money through donors, grant-writing, sponsorships, and/or endowments
