About this role

Temp to Hire: This is a part-time, temporary, non-exempt (hourly) position. This role is structured as an initial temporary assignment, with a potential for transition to a regular position based on performance and business needs.

Hours: This position is hourly for 25-30 hours per week. Additional hours may be available based on business needs. Flexible scheduling, but must be available for at least 20 hours/week between 9am-5pm Eastern time. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required based on client needs.

Hourly rate: $30-35/hour depending on experience

Benefits: Flexible schedule, paid time off and holidays, entirely remote work, and monthly Health Reimbursement Account stipend after 60 days of employment. Permanent hires are eligible for 401k with employer matching and 3 weeks of paid holidays plus 4 weeks of discretionary paid time off (includes sick time, vacation, and wellness days at your discretion)

Location: Remote (company is based in Atlanta, GA). Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Employment is subject to applicable state and local laws based on the employee’s work location.

Role Description: Resurgens Impact Consulting is a grant strategy, writing, and research consulting firm. The Grant Consultant provides grant writing, research, and project coordination support to nonprofit clients. You help raise grant funds for clients primarily focused on health, human services, advocacy, and organizing. You will manage a portfolio of 4-6 clients and provide occasional writing and project coordination support for local, state, and federal government grant writing projects.

Duties

  • Lead client calls, create agendas, and take and communicate detailed notes to your clients
  • Maintain an organized Google Drive with assigned client files using Grantholster, RIC naming, and file guidelines.
  • Enter grant records and coordinate timelines for all of your clients’ projects using Grantholster
  • Supports the maintenance of the worksheet bank by reporting outdated information and using the RIC process to request new worksheets and funder report templates.
  • Draft, edit, finalize, and upload high-quality grant applications, reports, and other fundraising collateral
  • Research and vet quality funding opportunities and share them with clients and in the RIC Team Workspace
  • Develop, update, and monitor grant calendars and grant project-based timelines to ensure on-time submissions in collaboration with clients
  • Advise clients on fundraising strategy, program design, and budgets to assist with developing competitive grant applications
  • Advise clients on cultivation, stewardship, and other best practices pertaining to the grant life cycle
  • Collaborate with a team of staff and subcontractors that support grant writing and research
  • Provide grant review and editing support on request
  • Support leaders through RIC growth, development, and improvement strategy projects.
  • Contribute to the tracking and reporting of internal operating metrics
  • Provide input for marketing, promotion, and retention strategies to create a pipeline of ideal clients
  • Contribute to the rest of the team (e.g., picking up edit reviews, participating in group messages/conversations, providing helpful and thoughtful input). Demonstrate willingness to take on new projects, clients, or other opportunities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Have at least 3 years of experience as a grant professional within the last 6-7 years
  • Are comfortable using Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Meet, etc.), Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and using the internet to research grant funders and need statement data
  • Are proficient with setting up and attending conference calls on web conferencing platforms
  • Have excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and research skills
  • Have customer service experience
  • Are driven by values that align with social justice and a commitment to equity and opportunity for all
  • Are highly organized and proactive
  • Are timely, punctual, reliable, and deadline-driven
  • Take direction well and apply feedback
  • Can take edits and rejection with grace
