About this role

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Strategic Vision

  • Set and steward the organization’s mission, values and long-term strategic direction in partnership with the Board of Directors
  • Establish measurable goals and report regularly on organizational progress and impact
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson and public ambassador for FOTS
  • Foster an organizational culture rooted in compassion, accountability and respect

Program Operations

  • Direct all mobile shower operations, outreach events and service delivery
  • Ensure programs are safe, effective, client-centered and trauma-informed
  • Build and maintain systems for scheduling, logistics, fleet maintenance and volunteer coordination
  • Track program outcomes and implement continuous improvement based on data and client feedback

Fundraising & Development

  • Design and execute a diversified fundraising strategy targeting foundations, corporate partners, individual donors and faith-based organizations
  • Cultivate and steward donor relationships through consistent communication and engagement
  • Lead grant writing, reporting and compliance
  • Collaborate on marketing and storytelling that communicates mission impact and inspires giving

Finance & Administration

  • Oversee budgeting, financial planning and fiscal accountability
  • Ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations, reporting requirements and organizational policies
  • Hire, train, supervise and evaluate staff and contractors
  • Maintain appropriate risk management, insurance coverage and safety protocols

Community & Faith Partnerships

  • Build strategic relationships with service providers, local government and community leaders
  • Represent FOTS at community events, faith gatherings and public forums
  • Coordinate with partner organizations to connect clients with wraparound services and referrals

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in nonprofit management or community-based organizations
  • Proven fundraising track record, including donor cultivation and relationship management
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage operations, budgets and people with accountability and integrity
  • Deep personal alignment with serving vulnerable populations with dignity and respect
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • Grant writing or grant management experience
  • Direct experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness or poverty
  • Faith-based ministry or mission-driven leadership background
